Hey, my name is Benedict and I'm the founder of GoodBeerGuy.
As a craft beer aficionado, I have been looking for a long time for some cool t shirts, showing my passion for beer. I didn't want the t-shirts to be too obvious, like with the typical 'Wish you were beer' or 'Beer is Here' slogans. The designs had to be more witty than that, as I wanted to wear the t-shirts to work without my colleagues frowning upon me.
Realizing I wasn't going to find any to my taste, I decided to create some of my own.
This resulted in 6 original designs, colorful with a subtle reference to beer and/or hops.
The quality of the t-shirt and the print was really important to me, therefore after searching and comparing different textile and prints, I chose a 185 gr/m2 textile, both for the unisex and for the female t-shirts. This ensures you will receive a good quality product.
I also wanted to create some t-shirts for girls, as beer t-shirts are generally made for men. So I also have women’s fitted models!
All t shirts are screen printed, so no peeling or cracking of the design after a couple of washings! You can even iron them, all you have to do is turn the t shirt inside out.
The first design is called 'Bluebeered'. The idea came from a currently popular design showing a stylized beard. A blue beer is poured creating an anchor-like beard. Below the text says 'Bluebeered' in a slightly controversial font.
The second design is called 'Come to the dark side'. It's my girlfriend who came up with the slogan ( of course, with the reference to Star Wars)! The little yellow monster lures you into to the dark side with STOUT!
Third, 'In hops we trust'. The famous line depicted on the dollar bill, rephrased to fit the beer lover's need.
Fourth, there's 'It's a beer, dear!'. From a wordplay between beer - bear - deer - dear, surged the image of this beer lover's totem animal. To help people identify the totem, I decided to write below the text 'It's a beer, dear!', but in a small font.
This animal became my personal totem as well, that's why it's part of the logo of GoodBeerGuy.
My fifth design is called 'Hoppy Piranha'. The piranha stands for water - the most important ingredient in beer. The piranha is fed a hops cone. The jagged fish line stands for the first, second and dry hopping.
Last but not least: the 'Hoppy Sugar Skull'. Based on the currently popular Sugar skull designs, this one has a hops cone for all three eyes.
